I am so pleased you are here.

 I imagine that you are a parent, grandparent, teacher or child-care giver who longs to be the best you can be as you shepherd our children and youth.  TSJ honors and encourages your thirst for knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.

 As a certified life coach who understands the parenting journey, and as one  professionally trained in human development, I delight in providing compassionate encouragement for parents.

Both purposeful (conscious) parenting and personal growth require high levels of awareness, courage, and compassion.

  Let’s face it, no one can ever fully prepare us for some of the challenges we often face.  While knowledgeable and intentional about being good parents, there are times when we are not “at the top of our game.”  We both need and want something to change.

 We Often Find it Difficult to Seek Support for Ourselves.

The most common blocks to asking for help are the fear of being judged and/or the worry that some “expert” will tell us things that violate our personal, cultural, or religious values.  So we hold back, try harder, and keep going until we suffer silently, and sometimes in the night.  That is why I established The Shared Journey.com. or more affectionately, TSJ.

At TSJ you will not be told what to do.  But you will be:

Solomon  

To help us embrace the metaphor of sheep and shepherding, I want to introduce you to our TSJ mascot . . . our symbol for earthy wisdom , timeless truths, and human nature  . . .  Meet Solomon, the Wisest Sheep EvEr!  

People who sign up for the newsletters (in the box in the upper right) will hear words of wisdom from Solomon on a regular basis.   He came to the The Shared Journey in January of 2012. Now, he and I even travel together sometimes, and you may even meet him in person some day.   Here he is riding with me all  buckled in, just enjoying life and going along for the ride.

When he is not traveling, he sits on a stool in my office and his face always makes me smile.  I hope it does the same for you. 


As a parent of four and grandmother of five children,  I have learned we all grow wiser through shared stories, research, and accumulated knowledge. Please feel free to get to “know me” better here.
